Paris Saint-Germain have tabled a stunning €1 billion (£865 million / $1.1 billion) contract offer for Kylian Mbappe.

The transfer drama seems to have no short end

Defensa Central reports that Paris have tabled an incredible offer for Mbappe, with a 10-year contract worth €1 billion. This would tie Mbappe to the club until the age of 34 and effectively act as a deal for his entire career. It would also be the longest contract in sports history.

However, Mbappe is reported to have told Paris that he is not "moved" by money and dreams of playing for Real Madrid, where he can win every possible trophy on offer. The striker has already informed the club that he does not intend to sign a new contract and plans to leave next summer. Paris have informed Mbappe that he must sign a new contract or be sold this summer.

The striker has become something of a legend in France, with 212 goals in 260 games, as well as 98 assists. However, he has never reached the Champions League Final, although he won the World Cup with the French national team in 2018 and led the national team to the final in 2022.

Bape's future is unlikely to be resolved immediately, and this drama looks set to continue for a long time.
